Biography
190 words — lift as-is, no rewriting required
Michael Morgan is a stand-up comedian, sketch comic and musician from East Texas. Raised in a Pentecostal household where the parents pastored a church, Morgan discovered comedy by secretly watching Saturday Night Live late at night, and grew up on Richard Pryor, Robin Williams and Mel Brooks.
Morgan served eight years in the Marine Corps, made sketch videos as a teenager, and started in stand-up in 2018 as a weekend host before returning full-time in 2022. Morgan now has a road-tested 45-minute set, plays the home club Rose City in Tyler, Texas, and has performed in Dallas, Austin, Houston, San Antonio, Las Vegas, San Diego and Nashville, including featuring for George Janko in front of about 800 people.
Morgan also writes and performs sketches, co-hosts the Addictive Nonsense Podcast, and is bringing original comedy songs and musical improv into the act.

What you should know before you book Michael
Michael Morgan is a prepared, adaptable storyteller who can tailor a set to the room.
Flexible set lengths
A road-tested 45 minutes that cuts cleanly to 25 or 15. “Here’s where my last joke is. Here’s where my you know the middle of my set is.”
Reads the room
Morgan researches the venue and knows when to pivot. “Know where I’m at, know who I’m talking to, and know when to pivot.”
Clean or club
Morgan keeps “church jokes” that work anywhere alongside material built for comedy clubs, and has headlined clean shows.
Personal storytelling
Faith, family, growing up poor in East Texas and the Marines. Audiences come up afterwards to say they relate.
Connects with veterans
Eight years in the Marine Corps. The military material lands hard with veterans in the room and online.
Music and sketch
Original comedy songs, sketch videos and a musical improv show in development.
